Program Description:
At Career & College Clubs, we believe the middle school space, that critical time when young people begin forming the attitudes, thought patterns, and work habits that they will carry through the rest of their lives, is a key leverage point: reaching students in the middle grades will have a positive impact for the rest of their lives. Career & College Clubs is a peer-to-peer learning model that empowers middle school students with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to succeed in high school, college, and life. The two-year curriculum focuses on college/career readiness, 21st century skills, financial literacy, and community engagement. Aligned with Common Core State Standards and the American School Counselor Association National Standards for Students, Career & College Clubs was recently rated “high quality” for after school by the California After School Resource Center.
