The Delmarva Education Foundation College Access Program (DEF-CAP) aims to boost the college-going potential and career preparation of young people on the lower Delmarva Peninsula. The DEF staff are committed to the students we serve, devoted to helping them learn about, aspire to, prepare for, apply to, finance, and complete college or other post-secondary educational training. DEF-CAP advisors help students of all ages via this website, at our office, in local schools, and at community events. We collaborate with area high school guidance counselors, and network with other organizations and businesses in the region that sponsor scholarships, to provide our searchable database of local scholarship opportunities and financial aid information on this website, free to all residents of the counties in our region (Sussex, DE; Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, and Dorchester, MD; Accomack and Northampton, VA). DEF focuses services in 3 counties on Delmarva: Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester counties.
