Program Description:
The program provides one-on-one counseling and assistance for potential college students and is designed to help participants achieve their educational goals. Whether you are a high school senior, an adult looking for a career change, or just looking to skill-up in your current field, the EOC has a variety of free services to help you every step of the way.

Mission Statement:
The mission of the EOC is to make college and university accessible to everyone and to increase the number of people who are able to enroll in postsecondary education. The EOC is a 100% federally funded program that is administered by Metropolitan Community College and is open to all residents of the Kansas City, Missouri, metropolitan area.
Objectives:
The Educational Opportunity Centers program provides counseling and information on college admissions to qualified adults who want to enter or continue a program of postsecondary education. The program also provides services to improve the financial and economic literacy of participants. An important objective of the program is to counsel participants on financial aid options, including basic financial planning skills, and to assist in the application process.
