Universidad YA!/College NOW! is a higher education initiative whose mission is To empower Latino youth to complete high school and to provide access to higher education regardless of their legal status. We organize Hispanic College Fairs, give scholarships to Latino college-bound and college students, offer bilingual workshops on the road map to college to high schools, community centers and churches, we do individual mentoring, we connect students with admission college representatives according to their legal status, assist students in preparing the scholarship documentation package and apply to scholarships, visit colleges with students and assist them to enroll, etc. Universidad YA! efforts are to help students to be college ready when they finish high school and to keep assisting college students to find financial resources to pay for college. We also advocate for college access to DACA (deferred action) students to Missouri legislators and colleges as well as for DACA students to receive scholarships.
