The Holmes County Education Foundation (HCEF) was created in 1989 through the generosity of an anonymous donor with the goal of encouraging further education for the residents of Holmes County. Since 1991, more than $6M has been granted for the betterment of Holmes County youth and adults. This has been accomplished by the awarding of college scholarships, professional development grants, Amish Vocational Training grants, Senior Series grants, and assistance to the Holmes County College Access Program.
Holmes County College Access' mission is to increase awareness of, access to, and successful participation in quality postsecondary education. These programs include 2 and 4 year colleges and universities, technical schools, certificate programs, apprenticeships, associate and bachelor degree programs.
Holmes County College Access' vision is to encourage all Holmes County individuals to meet their highest potential as life-long learners and view further education as necessary and attainable.
