Ironton College Access Program History Established in 2001 in collaboration with the Ohio College Access Network Provides a college advisor and an early awareness advisor to the students in the Ironton City Schools To date, Ironton College Access Program has awarded $72,000 in last dollar scholarships to eligible Ironton High School graduating seniors In 2008, 71% of Ironton’s graduating seniors went on to further their education, compared to 60% prior to the establishment of the Ironton College Access Program In 2008, the Ironton graduates received $1.8 million due to the efforts of the Ironton College Access Programs in collaboration with the Ironton High School Guidance Department.

The mission of the Ironton College Access Program is to increase the number of Ironton High School students who aspire to, prepare for, and succeed in achieving postsecondary education.
