The KentuckianaWorks College Access Center (KCAC) is a one-stop center focusing on college access. It provides financial aid, educational, and career counseling services to adults and youth in the Louisville area and in southern Indiana. KCAC is a division of KentuckianaWorks Foundation. The Foundation is administered by KentuckianaWorks, a business-led workforce investment board that oversees workforce development initiatives in the Greater Louisville region. KCAC is primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Federal TRIO Programs, and administered by KentuckianaWorks Foundation, Inc. To serve youth and adults by providing counseling services that assist them in identifying and successfully completing their educational goals to enable them to achieve career expectations.
To exceed our federal performance objectives, as well as be responsive to our broader community goals To develop and promote a comprehensive system of educational support services for all citizens, (with primary focus on low-income, first-generation college students, and other underrepresented groups), enabling them to pursue and complete postsecondary education and training To support the development of a qualified and employable workforce through effective career counseling of youth and adults interested in postsecondary education To work with a collaborative network of representatives from various sectors of the community who are committed to assisting youth and adults in pursuing their educational goals To create a network and referral system to maintain open lines of communication with postsecondary institutions To seek additional funding to support the growth of KCAC
