Program Description:
Provide free academic, college and career services for underserved and first-generation-to-college students in grades 6 -16. We teach students academic, life, and workforce skills, and help them set and pursue career goals to make intentional choices about a college degree or professional credential. Students receive ongoing personalized support and community connections to attain a career based on their strengths and interests. Our model Includes: (1) Academic programs that are project and community-based; (2) Opportunities to build agency, self-confidence, self-advocacy, and self-regulation skills and grow socially and emotionally through strong, trust-based peer and adult relationships; (3) Post-secondary and career readiness through our Career Connections and College Success curricula that includes completing an annual education and career plan; and, (4) Social capital building through year-long events that include networking, mock interviews, community service and other work-based experiences
