Founded in 1966, LINK Unlimited is Chicagos oldest mentoring and college preparatory organization. LINK has successfully transitioned 1,700 economically disadvantaged African American youth to college by providing academic support through their high school years. LINKs scholars success through high school is supported through Mentoring, Academic Enrichment, Leadership Development, and Tutoring and Study Skills programs. They are set on the college track through College Readiness programming. LINK students have attended many top tier colleges, and have moved on to become successful in their own right, as bankers, business professionals, engineers, educators, attorneys, doctors and more. Many former LINK students are now sponsors and benefactors of current LINK students.
