The A.P. Hampton Mentoring Program is a highly structured academically aligned program that places mentors and students together in a one-to-one situation for daily rigorous literacy experiences. Become a Hampton mentor and experience the pleasure of watching students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Watch them as they gain self-esteem and self-motivation. A Hampton mentor works with a student using a daily lesson plan prepared by the Hampton coordinator. The usual procedure is to read together for a few minutes, followed by an activity that is aligned to Ohio state standards.
