Pathways to College is a 501 c(3) organization founded in 2007 with 44 students. Our mission is to create a belief that college is an option for everyone, and that through the program, we can make this belief a reality. This school year, 257 Milwaukee youth in grades 6 to 12 from 23 zip codes are participating in Pathways to College. We provide academic, social, financial, and spiritual support to increase the number of low-income and first-generation Milwaukee youth who complete a post-secondary degree. This is accomplished through year-round college-readiness services that start in 6th grade because research indicates that middle school is when many students fall behind, jeopardizing their chance for college and meaningful careers.
