Regional Economic Development Initiative created a college access program to serve traditional and non-traditional students in an 11-county region of West Tennessee. Administrative staff and seven college mentor corps members serve 19 high schools with one-on-one and group mentoring, workshops, events, and summits. These activities provide students with assistance in career and college exploration and college and financial applications. Two college coaches help students transition to the two community colleges in our region. Our services are available to all, however, our target audience is first-generation students.
