UnidosNow is the voice of the Hispanic/Latino community in the Manasota region. Established in 2009 to represent that voice, our mission is to elevate the quality of life of our growing Hispanic/Latino community through education, integration, and civic engagement. UnidosNow empowers low-income , first generation youth to create a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.

Objectives:
The Youth Collaborative on College Preparation (YCCP) is a new and unparalleled collaborative community effort in which UnidosNow is currently partnering with Take Stock in Children, USF Sarasota-Manatee, and Sarasota and Manatee County School Boards to pool resources of college guidance and scholarship dollars to increase college success and graduation rate of 500 first-generation, low-income students (majority Hispanic). A goal of a higher post-secondary completion rate can be achieved by way of the following four-tiers: 1.) Future Leaders Summer Academy-- Comprehensive College Preparatory Program 2.) Six-Week College Planning Saturday Workshops 3.) Mentor Training Program 4.) One-time College Knowledge Workshops for Youth and Families
