Program Description:
HOLA's College Prep program offers high school juniors and seniors courses and individual mentoring designed to improve students' scholastic performance and provide pathways to post-secondary education. Juniors meet one-on-one with a college counselor to develop an individualized college application plan and ongoing support. All juniors participate in a three month-long free SAT Prep courses provided by Advantage Testing. Throughout senior year, PAT staff coordinate weekly workshops focusing on college fit, college application, financial aid and college readiness. HOLA pairs each senior with a volunteer mentor who helps him or her navigate the college system, complete applications, financial aid forms, and provide the critical support needed to ensure successful transition to college.

HOLA prepares youth for post-secondary advancement by providing them with academic support, preparation for college, personal guidance and pathways to achieve life goals. We excel at meeting students where they are and working with students at all academic levels.
Objectives:
Our objectives include: students receive academic support and mentoring while in high school, that they graduate high school on time, that they enroll in a best-fit higher education institution with (nearly) all financial need met, that they continue to be engaged with HOLA for support and mentoring while in higher ed, and that they transition to careers successfully.
