The Pleasant Point Passamaquoddy Tribal Education Program assists eligible tribal members with financial assistance in obtaining higher education and training. This is essential to the social and economic development of the Passamaquoddy Tribe as low educational aspirations and attainment have been a major contributor to the historical problems of high unemployment, substance abuse, and low incomes among tribal members.
The primary mission of the Pleasant Point Passamaquoddy Tribal Education Program is to assist eligible tribal members with financial assistance in obtaining higher education and training.
The intent of the Program is to bridge the gap between financial aid provided by the school or other public and private sources and the actual financial needs of tribal members.
