The Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation partners with Rutherford County Schools to increase the number of students in Rutherford County who pursue education beyond high school. The Foundation seeks to prepare students academically for college and increase college access, retention and success for all students. The Foundation provides an academic mentoring program which provides an adult mentor for every high school student, a financial aid counseling program for seniors, and other programs that target specific student groups to improve academic success and college readiness. The Foundation also provides ongoing activities for all students to increase college awareness, knowledge and readiness. These activities include college visits, college fair resources SAT/ACT registration, preparation resources and incentives, and college and scholarship application assistance.
