Program Description:
The 100 Black Men of Savannah, Inc., an affiliate of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., was organized in 1996 and, focusing upon African-American youth, aims to make a difference in the lives of Savannah's young people by its signature programs of mentoring, education, economic empowerment, health & wellness, and leadership development. Our signature youth education and mentoring programs are the Youth Leadership Academy (YLA), for high school students, and Pathways to Success, for middle school students. Each program functions under the guidance and mentorship of our Education Committee. Each provides age-appropriate mentoring and tutorial services to 80 Savannah youth whose leadership potential is developed and have an interest and motivation to pursue post-secondary education.
