About:
Program Description:
The East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring (EPATT) program is a free extended-day learning program for first- through twelfth-grade students from the East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring. EPATT strives to facilitate the best possible outcomes for our students through its unique mix of academic tutoring, parent education and tennis instruction. EPATT has built its reputation by partnering with parents, teachers, and tutors to help each student become his or her best self. We work with teachers and tutors to devise personalized learning plans with frequent checkpoints to track student progress. The academic staff, volunteer tutors and parents are focused on achieving the same goal: to help their student graduate from high school college and career ready, poised for a productive and fulfilling future. To change the life trajectory of local youth and their families through academic support, parent empowerment and tennis instruction.

EPATT bridges the opportunity gap for under-resourced K-12 students. We strive to ensure that our participants are prepared for success in college, careers and in life. EPATT is a youth development organization that provides K -12 students and families from underserved communities with personalized, intensive academic and social-emotional programming. We offer free one-on-one tutoring in reading, math and other subjects. Our primary objective is to ensure students are on track to meet or exceed the California college and career standards.
